PUBG Mobile Global Open 2024: Showdown in Brazil!

PUBG Mobile is among the rising E-Sports games all over the world, with thousands of players competing against each other to make it to the top spot, become the reigning champions, and win huge prize money! 

The victorious team gets to decide whatever they want to do with the prize money, whether they want to celebrate, upgrade their gear and training routine, or even make some PUBG payment to stay updated with the latest weapons available within the game.

This year, the combatants will face off against each other in Brazil; more on that below!

Details on the Global Open

The PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) will kick off on March 4th, while the main event will take place in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in April 2024, with a $500,000 USD prize pool up for grabs. Come March; the opening event will see teams from across the globe go head-to-head for a piece of the grand reward, whereas the local squads compete against some of the best teams out there as they aim to make their mark at the first PUBG Mobile event of the year.

There will be a series of qualifiers and preliminary rounds where 16 teams will advance to the main event, which is scheduled to be held live in Brazil from April 5th to April 7th. This year’s PGMO Brazil also marks as an expansion of PUBG Mobile’s 2024 Esports calendar and a demonstration of moves to enhance the competitive environment in the region by investing in Brazil’s esports scene.

The teams that have been invited are S2G Sports, IHC Sports, A7 ESports, and Reject Esports, all of which are winners of the EMEA, CSA, AM, and Japan Regions, respectively.

Format on how the event will work.

The event will open the qualifiers for upcoming teams who will play from March 4th to March 10th in an online format, from where the top 32 teams will proceed to the next stage. The top 32 teams will then play in the Qualifier Finals, which will take place from March 28th to March 30th. The Champion of the Qualifiers will proceed directly towards the Main Event, and the remainder of the squad will play in the Prelims Stage.

The teams participating in the Prelims will play from April 1st to April 3rd, and the top 8 teams will proceed to play in the main event. The Main event, which will take place from April 5th to April 7th, will have 16 teams competing against one another, which will also include teams that have qualified from the Qualifiers, Prelims, and teams directly invited to the Main Event.

The oncoming teams will use PUBG mobile redeem to gear up on any remaining ammunition left, which will prepare them for the tough competition ahead. The Prize Pool for the Qualifiers Stage has been set to $64,000 USD, whereas for the Prelims Stage, it is allocated to $80,000 USD, and the Main event will consist of having $356,000 USD Prize Money, accumulating a total prize pool of $500,000 USD.
